Problems with the Chauffe Eau (that's what an 'immersion heater' is called over here - but with knobs on)... Ours is a 200 litre tank that feeds the sink/basins/bath/shower etc., - one on each side of the building (we have two tanks - two bathrooms). Our favourite electrician (Peter Jones - see 'Sparks' above left) recommended Andrew Doxford, a fully registered artisan with oodles of experience on both sides of the channel, but now operating in Central Brittany... Whilst waiting for a meter reading guy to show up we could see we were losing a lot of water via our water meter and our chauffe eau - It was frightening to watch the impeller spin when we had no taps open...
