••• The house is the main house in a hamlet, just 5 minutes drive or 20 minutes pleasant country walk from the pretty Market town of Callac.  Callac has a market square with a number of restaurants, a boulangerie, a boucherie, flower shops, hairdressers, dentists, doctors in fact  all amenities belonging to village life.  There are two big supermarkets in the town, petrol stations, and banks.  Market day is Wednesdays and the square is full of stalls selling, fruit vegetables, fish, meat and livestock. ••• Callac is in central Brittany in between the larger towns of Guingamp and Carhaix.  It is about 30 minutes drive to Brest airport or 90 minutes to the ports of St Malo and  Roscoff, both of which offer excellent ferry services to England.  It is also possible to travel to Jersey from St Malo.
